'THE SIBYL AMULET' - STERLING SILVER NECKLACE
The Sibyl Amulet is handmade in Somerset individually by in house artist Joseph Ghost. Cast in 100% recycled fine silver, bestowed on a fine silver belcher chain of 18 inches and oxidised black to draw out the details.
Belonging to the essence of the ancient sibyls - wise women who inhabited the caves, temples and shrines and blessed by the old gods with the gift of prophecy. They connected with the pull of nature in order to foretell the future.
The origins of these mighty women is obscured by the mist of time but were recorded with a voice that reached a thousand years and unwavering truths of times to come. Through ages, those gifted as sibyls were lost and reckoned to society.
We created this piece to adorn the sacred sibyls that walk with us in modern day, using labradorite as a stone of inner reflection and mirroring the souls voice, protecting those with a mind that views the world in all its light and darkness. As all of us walk a different path, each pendant varies slightly in design, symbolic of a varying prophecy upon each stone.
