‘Would you venture out if the lantern man was about?’

The Lantern Man, or Jack’O Lantern, is the East Anglian name for the mysterious glowing balls of light that lead travellers from the well-trodden paths, into the dangerous marshes.

Tale has it that if you look carefully into the pale light across the marshy rivers, a shadowy little figure would appear was a flickering lantern, luring you into the dark marshes to your untimely death.

The Lantern Man measures approx 35-40cm. The lantern man’s gown is made of hand-dyed organic cheesecloth and black linen. The Lantern Man is adorned with a resin candle.
