The Mechlin Cauldron draws inspiration from the 15th century, Black cauldron that stands monument within the walls of Lacock Abbey. Lacock Abbey, dedicated to Saint Mary’s, and Saint Bernard, was founded in 1229 by the widow Lady Ela the Countess of Salisbury. Lady Ella laid the abbeys first stone.

The cauldron has also been important to belonging to magical beings. Born of Earth, Air, Fire and Water; the cauldron has been used timelessly under the light of the moon for resurrection, creation, and transformation.

Mechlin stands approx 35cm tall. Her gown is made of organic calico trimmed with crocheted yarn. Mechlin is adorned by a black linen cauldron.
